Blue Bloods (2006) Melissa de la Cruz (Author)
Descended from the colonists who arrived on board the Mayflower, this later aristocratic generation comprises a secret society of vampires known as the Blue Bloods, a group responsible for most of the art and culture of New York City. Their children attend Duchesne School, wear designer clothes, and hang out only with one another, though they are unaware of the secret that binds them together. When they turn 15 the signs of vampirism first appear, from the urge to eat raw meat, to dreams of historical events based on their actual memories, and prominent veins on their arms. Just as Schuyler and Bliss adjust to this condition that Mimi and Jack have known about for several years, they become targets for a splinter group of murderous teen vampires called Silver Bloods in this first of a series.
